Current Characters at Luceti: N/A
CHARACTER
Name: Sealand aka Peter Kirkland
Canon: Axis Powers Hetalia
Gender: Male
Age: 12 physically and mentally but is really 40+
Wing Color: White with blue tips
Canon Point: The Present day| Axis Powers Hetalia Volume 4
Canon Point Explanation: Hetalia Volume 4 is the the volume where Sealand finds out that there are other micronations in the world and goes to make friends with one of them, a little girl named Wy. He also meets Seborga, another and older micronation, but during their first meeting, he scared Sealand so much that he ended up attacking Seborga. However, they all became friends and formed a club. I picked this canon point so that if castmates ask about said characters or club, Sealand won’t be surprised or wonder who they are.
History: Here.
If that isn't enough. Here is some more with the history of the Principality of Sealand and Hetalia canon:
World War II saw the establishment of Fort Roughs, a British military base intended to intercept German aircrafts and missiles. Instead of lying within British sovereign territory, however, the fortress was built on an island located 7 nautical miles off the coast, thus situating it in international waters. When World War II ended, Fort Roughs Tower was deserted and abandoned, which paved way for occupation; on 2 September 1967, former English Major Paddy Roy Bates settled on the island and declared it the Principality of Sealand, now the world's most famous micronation.
Sealand is England’s little brother and the smallest nation in world: An old World War II steel platform that has long since been abandoned by England. He declared himself a sovereign Principality in 1967 in what was international waters. However when Great Britain changed their territorial waters, Sealand’s territory was no longer in international waters.
No country in the world recognizes Sealand as a sovereign nation because of many reasons including: A) He lies in Britain’s waters now; B) He is not a naturally-made nation.
Sealand has only 4 citizens and one soldier guards the platform while the royal family is away. He also sold himself online for €750 million and Sweden tried to buy him. Thus he is seen hanging around and playing with Sweden and Finland. In 2006, Sealand did burn down but was rebuilt.
Personality:
Sealand is like any other 12 year old boy: a complete know it all who thinks that he knows how the world works and believes that he is a strong and mighty nation that everyone should know instead of a micronation that people forget that exists.
Just like a twelve year old, he thinks that he can do anything and he also thinks that he is hero just like the ones he watches on the television. He honestly believes that he can protect those he loves and tries to. He is honestly is a child with a big heart. He is just very very annoying at times.
His friend is Latvia, also known as Raivis Galante, who is a nation who recently regained his independence and tries to give Sealand advice about being one but it is unclear if Sealand listens to him most of the time. But even so, he sees Latvia a great friend and strives to become a real nation like him one day. When he does become a real nation, he wants to be strong enough to protect Latvia from those who terrorize him.
He calls Sweden and Finland both "Papa" and "Mama" even though they both are males. Sweden bought Sealand off of Ebay and sort of adopted him as his own. If he isn't on his little platform, he is with them, his new family since he does not get this from his own older brother England.
Sealand has picked up an extensive vocabulary of swear words from England. But he tries not to use it around anyone outside the UK. 'Cause that's no way to gain the respect of other nations.
Sealand can see fairies, unicorns, etc. but when England's around, he pretends he can't just to annoy him. He hasn't told anyone he can see things, because he doesn't want to be seen as crazy like England and also he doesn't want to be connected to him.
After a few days at the fort, Sealand smells like tar, dirt, and sea water. But he can't escape Sweden's or England's house any less than spotless.
He likes to cook. But his success rate is just about what you'd guess of a 12-year-old. A complete disaster. But at times, he is so proud about what he made that you can ignore the horrible taste and pretend to enjoy it.
He knows his way around the internet for the most part and even has his own Facebook. But it took him forever to figure out Twitter. He is also good with technology.
Strengths
Physical: On the surface, Sealand looks like a normal, hyperactive twelve year old boy. However, Sealand is different than humans and the other nations as his body is made of steel. This is because his country is not on land but in fact an old steel fort in the North Sea. He can use this steel body of his in an attack called the “Rocket Punch” on those who anger him. But this attack can only be used when he is dressed up as a robot and even then, it will probably (read: 99% likely) fail. Also, despite having a steel body, Sealand is as weak as a normal human boy as many of his fellow nations can easily stop him by simply picking him up or by placing a cardboard box over him, which is what Sweden did to him once.
Mental: Sealand may be over forty years old, but he is still mentally a twelve year old kid and therefore he has limited and kid like view of the world. He doesn’t know much about the affairs of the other nations or of the world, even though his friend Latvia and Latvia’s older brother Lithuania both have tried to explain it to him. All Sealand cares about is becoming a recognized nation. He doesn’t care about anything else except that and making friends with other micronations and nations too, of course. Even though he doesn’t understand how the world works, Sealand is a hard and enthusiastic worker. He makes sure the fort is kept up to shape and tries really hard to get others to recognize his country. This also means if he is faced with a challenge that he won’t give up. He is also very optimistic and hardly anything gets him down or breaks that optimism.
Emotional: Like most twelve year olds, Sealand is a bundle of unbridled emotions and energy. He is very passionate about his quest to become a recognized nation and will try anything to become one. Even if that means pretending to be another nation and sneaking into a G8 meeting just to experience what that is like. (He was later caught because his disguise as Canada was very very poor. But to his benefit, it did take the other nations a while to realize he wasn’t Canada because they were arguing.) Sealand is also very brave. For example, during the Hetalia: Paint It White movie, Sealand tries to fight off the invading Pict aliens, aliens that have turned almost the entire world into one of them and have made the main characters retreat and hide out on an island, alone using his fort’s guns and cannons, but however, he is easily defeated and turned into one of the aliens.
Weaknesses
Physical: Overall, Sealand is pretty much harmless. As stated before, despite having a steel body, he is pretty weak overall and can probably be stopped by any adult, nation or normal human. Just like a normal twelve year old. The Rocket Punch only works if Sealand is dressed as a robot and even then it can and probably will fail to hit the target he wanted.
Mental: Sealand’s kid-like and simple view of the world is a weakness as well as this means that he does not and sometimes cannot understand why things are the way they are. Also, Sealand’s single-mindedness in his goal of being recognized is also a weakness since he tends to do crazy things to get noticed by others and recognized as a nation (like sneaking into meetings, pretending to be other nations, etc), and that can be annoying to others. Finally, there is one thing that can destroy Sealand’s constant and near perpetual optimism and cheerfulness, and that is forgetting about him or forgetting to get him presents for Christmas, like the guard at his fort did on Christmas.
Emotional: Sealand is very passionate and impulsive but his passion and impulsiveness leads him straight into trouble. Fighting those Pict aliens alone was very brave but it was also impulsive and very stupid. He was so determined to show what he could do and save everyone that he forgot about their transformation beam and ran right into that trap. This is also an example about how Sealand does not think before he acts. He acts purely on his emotions and rarely on his mind. When he is scared or angry, his first response is to either attack what scared/angered him, like he did when Seborga dropped from a tree in their first meeting, or cry (or do both.) Like a child, Sealand cannot control his emotions.
Anything else?: Nothing else!
SAMPLES (ALL SAMPLES MUST BE SET IN THE LUCETIVERSE)
First Person:
So I heard that this places had underground tunnels that ran everywhere! That is so so cool!
[Then, Sealand frowns a little.] But, I found out that some of the tunnels collapsed. However![Sealand perks up] After asking around, someone told me that there is another set of tunnels that leads directly to the beach!
Even though it is getting cooler, wouldn’t it be nice to go there for a while and explore it? The whole trip could be an adventure since it will take us a while to get there. Also, I know swimming might be out of the question because of these wings. [He gestures to his own downy-like white and blue wings.] But we can collect shells and build sand castles and camp out there!
...I wonder though if the tunnels are really safe to use? I don’t want to encounter something really creepy while using them! N-Not that I’m scared or anything! I’m the Principality of Sealand after all! The bravest and strongest nation there is. I can beat anything and anyone! [Sealand puts on a brave face but one can tell that he is scared.]
On second thought, maybe going to the lake would be better than going to the beach? We can still have a camping adventure there instead! I doubt we’ll run into anything scary there.
Third Person:
It was a bright and cheery day outside. There were people bustling about and doing shopping or chores. Children playing with each other.
Yes, it was a great day filled with busy people moving here and there. Except for one person. This one person was sitting on a bench and watching the people move about. And this one person, or nation, was none other than Sealand.
Sealand was bored. So very very bored. To him there was literally nothing to do. He had tried to fly using the wings that he was given but found out that he could only hover with them. Which was pretty awesome but he couldn't fly fly. Which sucked. What was the point of having wings if you can't fly into the sky with them?
He also tried to play with the other children, and they were nice too but there was only so many times a kid can play red light, green light before getting tired with it. When the kids came to him today to ask if he wanted to play with them again, he turned them down and said that he had other things to do.
Sealand let out a sigh and slumped a little. "There is really nothing to do," he said to himself. "I would go and try to play pranks on people but I don't have any items to use make some of my pranks with." With another sigh he got up to go walk back home when two women walked by him, chattering away to each other.
"Let's go to the Item Bazaar today! I want to look for a new broom and a necklace," said one woman. The other one laughed and said, "You're only getting the broom to hide the fact that you are only going there to get the necklace, aren't you?" "You know me too well!"
As the women walked away, a smile appeared on Sealand's face. 'The Item Bazaar. That's the only place I haven't been to. I wonder if they have paint and stuff to make fake spiders with?' he thought. Instead of going home, Sealand turned and followed the women to the bazaar, making a mental list of things to get while he was there. His boredom was gone and in its place was excitement.
"This is going to be fun."
